Job summary

Skycare is recruiting a Support Worker in Residential Childcare for roles across West Yorkshire. The position involves supporting children's daily routines, attending appointments, and completing handovers in term time and holidays.

A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent is expected, with DBS checked at enhanced level if successful. Sleep-in shifts are a normal part of the role, and a full UK driving licence is preferable.

Qualifications

• DBS check is required at enhanced level if successful.
• Sleep-in shifts are a core part of the role.
• Full UK driving licence preferable.
• Willingness to work towards required qualification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Support children daily routines and activities in term-time and holidays.
• Promote personal care, hygiene, meals, and school runs or activities.
• Attend medical appointments and maintain daily records (diaries, sheets, handovers).
• Complete daily paperwork, budgeting tasks, and room/house checks.
• Liaise with families and plan contact dates for children.
• Act as a Keyworker and provide individualised support and supervision.
