Job summary

Skycare in West Yorkshire seeks a Residential Childcare Support Worker to join a team supporting children in care. You will help with daily routines, meals, school runs or activities, and promote independence while maintaining documentation and safety checks.

You should be 21+ with a full UK driving licence preferred and be willing to undertake DBS checks and complete a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent within 18 months. Sleep-in shifts are included.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old
• Must have availability for sleep-in shifts
• Hold Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People\u2019s Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or be willing to work towards within 18 months

Responsibilities

• Support children\u2019s daily routines, meals, school runs or activities
• Promote hygiene, independence and socialisation; assist with bedtime routines
• Attend medical or other appointments and follow activity planners
• Complete day sheets, handover documents and daily paperwork
• Assist with budgeting, room checks, and kitchen hygiene tasks
• Liaise with families and note important dates for the children
• Act as a Keyworker and support care plans
