Job description

Job Title: Residential Childcare Practitioner

Where you will be based: Sunderland, SR3

Provision: 2 Bed Children's Home

The Service Users: Children aged 7 to 17 with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD)

What does Progression look like:Progressive pay scale based on experience, qualifications, and performance. First access to other RSW, and senior roles in the company before these get advertised.

Working Week and Pay:

• Hours: 2 days on, 4 days off shift pattern, including 6 to 8 sleep-ins per month
• Sleep-in Rate: £52 per sleep
• Salary: £29,000 to £31,600 (inclusive of sleep-ins)

Induction: Full induction, training, and support provided by the provider's in-house learning and development team.

Training: Access to specialist CPD certified training and accredited qualifications free of charge.

What you will need/None-Negotiables:

• Qualifications: It is desirable that you hold Level 3 NVQ in Residential Childcare, or Level 3 Diplomas in Social or Children Care.
• Experience: Desirable to have experience working in a similar setting, such as working with children with challenging behaviour or complex needs (not including care assistant for the elderly).
• Driving Licence: Full driving license is essential.
• Fluent in English: Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Min Age: 21
