Job summary

Wiltshire Council is recruiting a Childcare Officer for Canon’s House Care Team to help children aged 5 to 17 with complex health and care needs.

You will support vulnerable children with personal care, help them access activities, and contribute to care planning, risk assessments and reviews.

Applicants should have NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent; the role offers hybrid work with on-site and admin tasks.

• Must have NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Compassion, empathy and adaptability for flexible work arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Support vulnerable and disabled children with complex health, support and personal care needs.
• Help children access and enjoy a wide range of fun and accessible activities, experiences and opportunities to explore their individual interests.
• Take part in all areas of care planning, risk assessment and support.
• Run reports, attend reviews and planning meetings with regular school and home visits.
