Due to the current postholder’s retirement, we have a rare and exciting opportunity for someone who has a desire to take personal responsibility for the caretaking service for a dedicated estate in Cambridge, focusing on maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for our residents.
The Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining a high standard of cleaning in communal areas
- Recording and reporting on the standard of other serviced on the estate such as landscaping, window cleaning, refuse collection, etc
- Carrying out daily site inspections to identify hazards or security issues, and to check that lifts or alarms are in working order
- Carrying out minor repairs such as changing communal light bulbs, unblocking drains and gutters, etc
- Acting as a point of contact for residents on the estate
About You:
Our ideal candidate will be able to work on their own without supervision for a significant period of the day. They will join us with previous experience of cleaning and caretaking in a large public environment and working knowledge and experience of manual handling.
You will have excellent customer service skills and have the ability to build effective relationships with our residents. If this sounds like you, we would welcome your application.
Due to the nature of this position, you will need to have a full driving licence with Class B.

Hours:
This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.

Working Pattern:
Fixed hours Monday – Thursday 8am – 4pm, Friday 8am – 3:30pm
(occasional Saturdays required)

Salary:
£28,624 - £31,067 per annum (City Pay Band 3), pro rata for part time.
