Job summary

PlumbLink Plumbing, Heating & Home Improvements is seeking an experienced Domestic Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to support the High Wycombe region. This is a self-employed, ad hoc subcontracting role for installing fixed residential AC systems, including single split and multi-split setups, with emphasis on safety, neat workmanship and customer handover.

Ideal candidates will have proven AC installation experience, F-Gas cert, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Proven air conditioning installation experience.
• Experience with domestic split and multi-split AC systems.
• Appropriate F-Gas qualification/certification for the work undertaken.
• Good knowledge of refrigerant pipework and installation practices.
• Experience with pressure testing, evacuation and commissioning.
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic ability.
• Ability to complete installations independently.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Own suitable van or work vehicle.
• Own professional air conditioning tools and equipment.
• Appropriate insurance for subcontract work.
• Smartphone with internet access.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Carry out professional air conditioning installations at residential properties.
• Install fixed residential air conditioning systems (single split and multi-split).
• Complete installations to a high standard in line with manufacturer instructions and regs.
• Prepare and maintain installation and commissioning records.
• Provide customer demonstrations and handover of systems.
