Job summary

Avery Healthcare is hiring a Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator for Merlin Court Care Home in Wiltshire to enrich residents' days with engaging activities that support physical, mental and social wellbeing. You will identify residents' life histories, plan monthly activities, arrange events with staff and families, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment that promotes dignity and choice.

Qualifications

Experience working with older people in a residential nursing dementia setting.
Experience organising activities and events.
Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
A positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.

Responsibilities

Identifying the life history, needs, and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families to support the development of a detailed life story.
Planning and submitting to the Home Manager- a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview.
Arranging activities, events, and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors.
Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
