Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator for Droitwich Mews Care Home in Droitwich. You will identify residents' life histories, plan wellbeing activities, and organise events with staff, relatives and visitors.

A caring, proactive approach helps create stimulating experiences for residents in a dementia-friendly setting. You will contribute to a safe environment, uphold values of respect and compassion, and support residents’ social engagement

Qualifications

• Identifying life history, needs and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families.
• Planning a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview.
• Arranging activities, events and outings with staff, relatives and visitors.
• Experience working with older people in a residential nursing dementia setting.
• Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• Positive attitude toward older people and providing stimulating activities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Identifying the life history, needs, and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families to support the development of a detailed life story.
• Planning and submitting to the Home Manager- a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview.
• Arranging activities, events, and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors.
• Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
