Job summary

FirstPort in Folkestone hires a Visiting Development Manager for a part-time role (12 hours weekly). Based in Folkestone, Kent, you will work Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am to 2pm, supporting residents and overseeing day-to-day development operations.

You will ensure safety, handle contractor management, and foster a sense of community by coordinating activities with residents and the local team. This role emphasizes customer service, strong communication, and practical administration.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a customer-facing setting
• Strong communication and issue-resolution skills
• Understanding of health and safety practices
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic IT skills
• Organised, methodical approach to records and admin
• Outgoing, self-motivated team player with initiative

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high profile around the development / office and check residents per requirements
• Carry out daily safety checks and maintain records; protect data and keep areas clean
• Manage works: raise orders, supervise contractors, monitor progress and sign-off
• Encourage Residents Association and social events to enhance the community
• Build links with residents’ families, local authorities, health and social care contacts
