Job summary

FirstPort is seeking a Visiting Development Manager to join our team in Barnet, Hertfordshire. You will oversee daily operations, maintain safety standards, and build strong resident relations across a residential development.

Key duties include supervising contractors, managing data and records, supporting residents associations, and coordinating with local authorities. The role requires excellent customer service, clear communication, and proficient IT skills. 35 hours weekly, Mon-Fri.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in face-to-face environments preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to resolve issues and complaints.
• Understanding of health & safety and emergency situations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems.
• Organised administration with accurate records.
• Outgoing, proactive, team oriented, and professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high profile around the development / office, ensure residents are checked within requirements.
• Carry out daily checks ensuring the building is safe and secure, maintain records and data protection.
• Be responsible for works being completed, raise orders, manage contractors, monitor progress, sign off completion.
• Encourage and support the formation of a Residents Association and social events for residents.
• Build links with residents' families, local authorities, doctors, social workers and health authorities as required.
• Assist with emergencies by contacting the appropriate response team or authorities.
• Welcome new residents and assist with moves in; coordinate with Retirement Homesearch partner if needed.
• Work with the local Development Manager peer group and travel to team/company meetings.
