Job Overview
- Provide first response / self-delivery of maintenance and engineering services for the MSD maintenance contract.
- Complete PPM tasks and activities in accordance with contracted service level agreements.
- Complete reactive works as per service agreements.
- Complete quoted works following contractual terms.
- Attend site for specialist works with subcontractors.
- Supervise when necessary subcontractors for specialist works.
- Identify additional work requirements when planned and reactive works cannot be completed in time.
- Maintain electronic and hard copy documentation for audit and review purposes.
- Ensure a safe working environment at all times.
- Conduct surveys, audits, and reviews of building assets for reports.
- Observe company values, maintaining high conduct, quality, sustainability, value for money, and efficiency.
- Be available for overtime and call-outs as business demands.
Main Duties
- Carry out scheduled maintenance and repairs of building services assets according to specifications, guidelines, standards, and documentation.
- Respond to breakdowns and reactive calls promptly.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs at first response or advise on necessary actions.
- Monitor systems during work to ensure service continuity or inform customers about downtime.
- Research and provide information for procurement of spare parts and components.
- Suggest suitable replacements for obsolete parts, ensuring performance and sustainability.
- Perform dynamic risk assessments before tasks and escalate concerns to line managers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualifications in one of the following: C&G Level 3 or equivalent, ONC/HNC building services engineering, recognized apprenticeship (e.g., MOET), or similar.
- At least 2 years of experience in engineering and maintenance services within building services industry.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance processes.
- Basic IT and computer skills.
- Full driving license (if applicable).
- Ability to work under pressure and during unsociable hours.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
