Job summary

CommUNITY Little Hulton seeks a Community Development Manager to lead this resident‑led charity from Peel Park Pavilion in Salford. You will work with Trustees to set strategic direction, provide hands‑on leadership and ensure services are safe, inclusive and sustainable.

You will build partnerships, pursue funding, manage budgets, uphold safeguarding and governance, and ensure residents, families and volunteers have a real voice in shaping the work.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people management experience across a charity or public-sector setting.
• Strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and governance oversight.
• Experience in budgeting, safeguarding, risk management and funding acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and hands‑on operational leadership for the charity.
• Lead and develop staff, oversee Peel Park Pavilion and drive the Live Well Hub.
• Build partnerships, secure funding opportunities, manage budgets and governance.
• Ensure services are safe, inclusive, effective and sustainable; empower residents and volunteers.
