Job summary

Blackpool Housing Company is seeking a proactive Housing Support Team member to assist residents through complex rehousing journeys, guiding them to secure safe and stable accommodation. The role includes supporting the private sector lettings scheme on behalf of the Council, and working with residents, landlords and agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with people, including vulnerable residents
• Ability to build positive relationships with residents, partner agencies and landlords
• Effective and sensitive communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service and attention to detail
• Good numerical and IT skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Support residents through rehousing journeys and complex housing situations
• Provide advice, guidance and practical support to secure suitable accommodation
• Assist with delivery of private sector lettings scheme on behalf of the Council
• Build relationships with residents, landlords and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes
