Job summary

St Monica Trust in Bristol is seeking a Resident Support Assistant to provide hospitality, housekeeping and catering support in our care homes. This role is not care or nursing; you’ll create a welcoming, home-like environment for residents, helping with dining areas, meals and daily activities.

You will work as part of a friendly team, maintain hygiene standards, and support residents with a warm, courteous approach. Salary is £14,720.16 per annum for 21 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Essential IT literacy with standard office programs (Word, Outlook, email, folders).
• Understanding of basic food preparation and cleaning techniques.
• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a care environment.
• Customer service principles and ability to engage with residents.

Responsibilities

• Deliver holistic, person-centred hospitality, housekeeping and catering support.
• Maintain high hygiene standards in line with health and safety, infection control and policy.
• Ensure rooms and lounges are tidy and ready for residents and visitors.
• Assist with dining areas, serve meals and chat with residents to enhance their day.
