St Monica Trust, a Bristol-based charity, seeks Bank Team staff to deliver flexible care and support across retirement villages and services. Roles include Care, Hospitality, Housekeeping, Gardening, Maintenance, Portering and more, with shifts chosen to fit your lifestyle.

Competenze

• Understanding of the needs of older people, including dementia and complex care needs.

Mansioni

• Provide and deliver a comprehensive care and support service including personal care and hygiene.
• Ensure social support of residents by encouraging activities and interests.
• Assist with health, nutrition, medication, mobility, appointments and visitors.
• Maintain resident care plans and paperwork in line with policies and regulations.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across and externally to the Trust.
• Undertake housekeeping and laundry duties as necessary.

Rate of pay: £13.64 per hour

Hours: Bank shifts as and when required according to the needs of the business

The Role:

At St Monica Trust, we’re a Bristol-based charity supporting older people to live fulfilling, independent lives. Our Bank Team provides flexible support across our retirement villages and services, with opportunities in a variety of roles including Care, Hospitality, Housekeeping, Gardening, Maintenance, Portering and more.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide and deliver a comprehensive care and support service including all elements of personal care and hygiene, while maintaining independence and dignity at all times.
• Ensure the social support of residents – e.g., encouraging/facilitating their interests and meaningful activities.
• Assist where required in resident’s health and well-being including nutrition, medication/creams, mobility, shopping/health appointments and supporting/welcome their visitors.
• Formulate, review and maintain resident care plans and paperwork. Consistently working in line with regulatory bodies and SMT policies – for example but not exclusive to GDPR, CQC, HSE, Local Authority expectations etc.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across and externally to St Monica Trust.
• Undertake housekeeping and laundry duties as necessary for the resident.

About You

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate the following key skills and requirements:

Essential

• Understanding of the needs of older people, including dementia and complex care needs.
• Ability to attend to personal care needs – including helping with food, bathing, toileting.
• Good level of IT skills (Microsoft packages).
• Care certificate or willingness to work towards Care Certificate.

Desirable

• First Aid, food hygiene and Manual Handling.
