Job summary

Bupa is seeking a kitchen assistant to support our care home kitchen by helping chefs plate meals, prepare food trolleys, and keep prep areas clean. You will monitor stock rotation and ensure compliance with COSHH and HACPP guidelines while assisting with catering for special events.

The role suits someone with kitchen experience and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, who enjoys delivering high standards of service to residents and collaborating with the wider kitchen and care home teams.

Qualifications

• Passion for food with previous kitchen experience.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate required.
• Comfortable communicating with residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs to plate meals and prepare food trolleys, keeping prep areas clean and tidy.
• Monitor stock rotation and follow COSHH and HACPP guidelines.
• Assist with catering for events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
