Job summary

FirstPort is looking for a Visiting Development Manager to oversee a residential development on a part-time 20-hour week contract. The role focuses on delivering high levels of customer service, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating with residents and external contractors.

You'll work closely with local teams and partner organisations to ensure community wellbeing, safety, and smooth operations, while supporting resident engagement events and property management processes.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience, ideally face-to-face.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Understand Health & Safety considerations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; quick to learn new systems.
• Organised, diligent, and data-recording capable.
• Outgoing, proactive, team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high profile around the development and office; check residents per requirements.
• Conduct daily safety and security checks; keep records and protect data.
• Manage works, raise orders, coordinate contractors, sign off completion.
• Support formation of Residents Association and social events.
• Build links with residents' families and local authorities as needed.
• In emergencies, contact the appropriate response teams.
• Assist with sales listings with Retirement Homesearch; welcome new residents.
• Collaborate with Development Manager peers and travel to meetings monthly/annually.
