Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a friendly Housekeeping Assistant for Chorleywood Manor Care Home in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. You will work as part of a team to maintain cleanliness and laundry to hotel standards, following standard operating procedures.

Ideal candidates will have health and safety knowledge, prior public setting laundry experience, and a compassionate approach to delivering high-quality housekeeping services to residents, with flexibility to cover varied duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and maintaining good condition of areas.
• Ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect and their personal space and belongings are respected.
