Job summary

East Renfrewshire Council is seeking a compassionate Care Worker to join the Intensive Services team at Bonnyton House in Bonnyton. You will provide high-quality care and support, meeting the physical, social and emotional needs of residents, and you will act as a named key worker for a group of residents, ensuring records and plans are kept up to date.

The role requires experience with older people, patience, and an understanding of dementia.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with older people and dementia.
• Excellent communication skills and a caring approach.
• Able to work in a residential, nursing or day centre environment.
• SSSC registration or eligibility to apply from start of employment. PVG checks may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and support to residents to meet physical, social and emotional needs.
• Undertake a wide range of tasks and responsibilities, acting as a key worker for a named group of residents and maintaining care plans and records.
• Ensure all records are completed and maintained within care planning, key worker and review systems.
