Job summary

East Renfrewshire Council is seeking a compassionate Care Worker to join the Intensive Services team at Bonnyton House in Bonnyton. You will provide high-quality care and support, meeting the physical, social and emotional needs of residents, and you will act as a named key worker for a group of residents, ensuring records and plans are kept up to date.

The role requires experience with older people, patience, and an understanding of dementia.

Qualifications

As part of the Intensive Services team based in Bonnyton House, you will ensure the physical, social and emotional needs of the clients are met by providing high quality care and support to the residents. You will undertake a wide range of tasks and responsibilities in order to meet the needs of the residents. You will also act as a key worker for a named group of residents, ensuring all appropriate records are completed and maintained within the framework of care planning, key worker and review systems.

You must have experience of working with older people and have patience, sensitivity and an understanding of the needs of people with dementia. You will have excellent communications skills, be a good team worker and be able to use your initiative. You will also have a caring nature and be enthusiastic, reliable and flexible. Experience of working within a residential, nursing or day centre environment, particularly those associated with older people, would be an advantage.
