Job summary

Somerset Care Group is recruiting for a role at Fletcher House in Wells, Somerset. The position offers 36 hours per week at a wage of £12.73–£13.78 per hour, with a full induction and funded Health & Social Care qualifications.

You will deliver a stimulating activities programme, support daily living skills, and coordinate outings and transport for residents. We are a disability confident employer; the team emphasises values like connecting with people, making a difference, doing the right thing

Responsibilities

• You will create, organise and offer Service Users a stimulating programme of activities
• You will work with the Care Assistant to encourage the Service Users to take part in organised activities and one to one support
• You will maintain and support the resident's daily living skills
• You will organise on a regular basis, outings for the Service Users to appropriate venues. You will also liaise with other homes and arrange activity visits, organising the transport and catering
• You will advertise forthcoming events externally and, in the home, as appropriate
• You will report observations of any changes in the health or mood of the resident to your team
• You will identify preferences of resident's social interaction and offer choices of 'group' or 'one-to-one' involvement, and work with the Service Users to identify the social likes and dislikes, which could include entertainment and meaningful activities
