Job summary

Ealing Council is seeking a Resettlement Officer to support Ukrainian arrivals through Homes for Ukraine, providing practical casework, welfare visits and coordination across housing, employment, education and healthcare services.

The role requires advocacy experience, knowledge of refugee resettlement and strong IT and communication skills. Based at Perceval House, with local travel and a focus on inclusive community outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience providing advocacy, casework and support to vulnerable households.
• Knowledge of refugee resettlement programmes and challenges for displaced individuals.
• Understanding of welfare benefits, housing options and tenancy sustainment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated support to Ukrainian guests, sponsors and host households.
• Support households through sponsorship breakdowns and moves into independent accommodation.
• Undertake welfare visits and assessments following government guidance.
• Assist residents to access employment, education, healthcare and welfare benefits.
• Support households to secure private rented accommodation through housing sustainment assistance.
• Collaborate with council services and external partners to improve outcomes.
