Job summary

Environment Agency is seeking an experienced and inspirational leader to head the Reservoir Regulation team, setting strategic priorities and delivering high‑quality regulation across England. You will lead on regulatory policy, stakeholder engagement, and multi‑agency collaboration to ensure public safety through the Reservoirs Act 1975 reform programme.

The role requires experience in regulation, civil engineering, or law, with a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, drive change,

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Regulation, Civil Engineering or Law or similar field.
• Strategic leadership with experience translating strategy into delivery.
• Proven track record of driving high performance and fostering psychological safety.
• Ability to generate creative ideas, challenge assumptions and deliver value.
• Proficient in risk-based decision making and removing barriers to delivery.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders to secure outcomes for environment and business.
