Job summary

Environment Agency seeks an experienced leader to head the Reservoir Regulation team, guiding regulation across England and ensuring public safety under the Reservoirs Act. You will drive compliance, support a diverse workforce, and lead teams through change, while engaging with senior leaders, industry bodies and external stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

Significant experience in Regulation, Civil Engineering, Law or similar subject to Reservoir Regulation.
Strategic leadership with translating strategy into operational delivery.
High-performance culture with accountability and psychological safety.

Responsibilities

Lead proactive stakeholder management and build trust for collaboration.
Set strategic priorities aligned to EA Regulatory strategy and drive delivery.
Develop and embed continuous improvement to adapt to needs of business and stakeholders.
Foster psychological safety to empower decision making and innovation.
Manage multi-agency risks to uphold public safety at high standards.
Contribute senior user input for Reservoir Safety Reform Programme.
