Job summary

NWG is seeking an Operator to join the Reservoir Safety Team. You will perform reservoir surveillance, monitor levels, and operate safety critical valves to help ensure reliable water supplies.

The role is predominantly outdoors, requires driving licence, and involves handling mechanical and electrical equipment, with training provided. DBS/drug tests may be required, and you will support across reservoirs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reservoir surveillance and monitoring; record data to support decisions
• Operate safety critical valves and make controlled discharges of raw water
• Perform routine maintenance and light mechanical tasks
• Drive/operate equipment (mini diggers, off-road vehicles, chainsaws)
• Write permits to work for low complexity tasks after training
• Work primarily outdoors in all weather conditions
