Job summary

University of Bristol invites applications for Research Associate / Senior Research Associate roles in Microalgae Biocrystallization/Bioinspired materials. You will lead multicentre analyses, culture microalgae, and perform imaging and crystallization studies with Prof. Palmer's group and collaborators.

Qualifications

• PhD or near submission in biology, microbiology, ecology, aquatic/marine biology, chemistry, biochemistry or physical sciences.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration across experimental, computational and data science.

Responsibilities

• Monitor microalgae from field and/or culture, perform chemical and biological analyses.
• Conduct microscopy investigations of phytoplankton and nitrogen storage crystals.
• Carry out in vitro crystallization experiments for bio-inspired materials.
• Prepare manuscripts and assist in grant applications.
