Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Research Nurse/Practitioner to join the adult Research Delivery Team, supporting NIHR portfolio studies and ensuring that trials are run to high standards in line with GCP guidelines.

You will assist in set up and delivery across the CUH Campus, with training and mentorship provided. The role offers opportunities to develop core research skills while working within a friendly hospital community.

Qualifications

• GCP awareness and NIHR portfolio experience preferred.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy, ECG and basic laboratory tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a clinical research setting.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients eligible for clinical trials in the NIHR portfolio.
• Provide information and support for patients entering trials.
• Recruit participants using trial eligibility criteria.
• Coordinate trial patient treatment, assessment and follow-up per protocols.
• Perform extended skills as required by study protocols (phlebotomy, ECG, labs).
