Job summary

The Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a clinical research nursing role within the Surgical Research Team. The post involves direct patient contact, coordinating nursing activities for academic studies and clinical trials, and delivering a range of surgical studies in a dynamic team.

Main duties of the job

The Surgical Research Team works closely with the clinical service to deliver a range of commercial and non‑commercial surgical studies This is a clinical patient facing post, which requires a dynamic individual who can work both individually and as part of a team. By identifying and supporting patients through their research participation the post holders will play a crucial role in the delivery of a broad portfolio of clinical trials.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
