We at Focaldata are on a mission to close the knowledge gap on public opinion. Our research team is the cornerstone of achieving this, and now we’re looking to expand. This role within the Research Services team involves leading full-cycle quantitative research from setup to outputs.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will own research projects from start to finish, act as the key client contact, and contribute to growing Focaldata’s business. Responsibilities include:

  • End-to-end project delivery, including client management, survey creation, fieldwork management, analysis, and report creation and presentation.
  • Leading client communications with weekly updates, answering queries, and ensuring client satisfaction with actionable insights.
  • Engaging with clients to deepen relationships and identify new research opportunities.
  • Supporting senior team members in proposal writing and showcasing Focaldata’s capabilities.
  • Training junior team members and supporting new process implementation.
Who You Are (Skills and Experience)

Ideal candidates will have successfully applied quantitative social and political research skills, experience in client communication, and proposal contributions. Specific requirements include:

  • About 4 years of social and political research experience.
  • Experience in conducting independent quantitative research, questionnaire design, data analysis, and creating compelling data visualizations.
  • Experience designing political opinion polls and interpreting results.
  • Strong client relationship skills and some proposal writing experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects.
  • Desire to work in client service and exceed expectations.
  • Ability to interpret and visualize data; knowledge of R or Python is a bonus.

Compensation

The pay range for this role is: 50,000 - 60,000 GBP per year (London).
