Working pattern: Monday – Friday. Peak activity during recruitment cycles may require occasional early starts, evenings or short flexible periods. Full‑time, hybrid (3 days a week), permanent, on Crick Terms and Conditions of Employment.

Salary: From £45,350 with benefits, subject to skills and experience.

About the role

We are looking for an organised and pro‑active Research Management Administration Officer to join our Research Management support team.

The role sustains the Crick’s culture by leading lectures, seminars, sympos, and other key events that showcase scientific exchange.

Working closely with the Assistant Research Director and Communications team, you will ensure these activities effectively planned, delivered, and promoted. You will own discourse events through end‑to‑air‑free‑and‑branch‑contributions, advisor‑board meetings, speech, conferences and other stakeholders. The role coordinates a calendar of events to ensure coherence, diversity and presence of speakers, disciplines and training, and executes an integrated budget on‑site scientific dialogue programmes. It pursues integration of new recruits to the Crick’s scientific community and culture.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage scientific events such as lectures, seminars and sympos.
  • Support the planning and promotion of key events with the communications team.
  • Maintain and develop an integrated events calendar that ensures coherence and diversity of speakers and disciplines.
  • Support logistics, scheduling, and budgeting for those events.
  • Assist with successful onboarding of new research staff to integrate into the Crick community.
Qualifications
  • Experience coordinating scientific events in a research environment.
  • Strong project‑management, communication, and time‑management skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and database management.
  • Proficient with web‑based systems.
  • Experience with applicant‑tracking systems or similarly.
  • Comfortable with logistics, scheduling and speaker‑coordination.
