Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a motivated university student to join the Research & Innovation team as a Placement Intern for a year. You will support the development and improvement of tools, workflows, and digital platforms to make research processes more efficient.

You will gain hands-on experience with scripting, data analysis, and collaboration tools while learning how R&D teams operate in industry.

Qualifications

• Currently studying at university in engineering, computer science, data science, or information systems.
• Basic to intermediate programming skills, preferably Python or similar.
• Interest in digital tools, automation, and data analysis.
• Ability to structure information clearly and work with collaboration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve tools using Python or other languages.
• Organise digital information-sharing platforms and improve workflows.
• Support online collaboration/document-sharing platforms like SharePoint.
• Assist in developing the Research Process and related tools.
• Conduct data analysis and create scripts to speed market analysis.
• Collaborate across R&D to identify tool improvement opportunities.
• Document solutions and recommendations for long-term use.
