Job summary

The University of Sheffield is seeking an experienced University Impact Manager to help researchers translate their work into impact. You will raise awareness, deliver training, and support REF Impact Case Study development, including the Innovation Internship Programme.

You will design and deliver training, coordinate events and materials, and manage evidence collection and reporting. You will work with impact leads and faculties to maximise knowledge exchange and impact outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience planning and leading projects with tasks, resources and timelines.
• Experience delivering workshops and presentations for diverse audiences.
• Evidence attention to detail and ability to align actions with strategic objectives.
• Ability to build professional relationships and enable cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to analyse information from multiple sources and provide evidence-based advice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate awareness-raising, training and resources on impact, including evidencing and showcasing exemplars.
• Work with University Impact Lead, REF Lead, and Faculty leads to disseminate updates and support impact reporting.
• Coordinate REF impact review processes, annual stocktakes and related exercises.
• Support the Deputy Vice President for Innovation and the Impact Steering Board as Secretary.
• Collaborate with MARC on internal/external impact communications and newsletters.
• Lead design and delivery of impact-related events, including the Impact Showcase.
• Maintain impact webpages and support networks for Academic/Faculty Leads.
• Draft content for funder proposals and REF2029 Impact Case Studies with guidance on evidence.
