Job description

Are you an experienced Researcher with specialist skills in graphene and related materials looking for an opportunity to join the UK's first modern research-intensive university?

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Research Fellow for a 24-month fixed-term position to contribute to three Horizon Europe projects: GIANCE, ZEvRA, and BIOntier. Working under the direction of Professor Ahmed Elmarakbi, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary, collaborative EU-wide research team.

Your role will focus on the design and development of advanced composites, including conventional materials and bio-based/graphene-related (GRM) composites. Key responsibilities include circular design, multi-parameter optimisation, modelling and numerical simulations, as well as conducting life cycle assessments (LCA) and life cycle costing (LCC).

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated researcher eager to work on innovative, cross-sectoral projects addressing next-generation sustainable materials and technologies within the European research landscape.
