Location: Homebased

Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Join our Vodafone Business Technology Solutions team, where we support businesses of all sizes with world-class technology solutions. We design and develop our Fixed Line solutions, drive efficiency through automation and AI, and implement it all directly with our customers.

What You’ll Do

As a Design Engineer in UK Technology your key responsibility is the validation, design and either planning or build of restricted and non-restricted customer solutions over the VodafoneThree network. You will play a critical role in delivering against our customer commitments incorporating all access planning tasks.

The right person for this role will have the ability to manage a workstack of complex tasks across multiple systems to build services as defined by our product portfolio. This position is an important bridge between Sales and Delivery ensuring we process accurate services as per the agreed design with the customer. Skills required include knowledge of fixed networks and products, understanding of solution design to plan effectively and ability to create and place accurate orders with our suppliers.

VodafoneThree is on a constantly adapting digital journey, having the skills to balance operational performance against proactive continuous improvement will add to your success in this team. Aside from your daily tasks you will collaborate with the wider access function and our stakeholders to input and support future ways of working, key customer projects and escalation root cause analysis.

Who You Are

  • Experience in a telecommunications environment and a clear understanding of technologies used to deliver customer solutions (SDH, DWDM, IP, DSL, Voice)
  • Experience on order and inventory applications such as Amdocs, Cramer, MORI
  • A good ability to analyse and problem solve delivery solutions utilising network inventories and colleague support
  • Clear and concise communications skills both verbal and written to support role
  • Support and mentor less experienced colleagues by sharing knowledge and experience
  • Must be eligible for SC Clearence
