Job summary

Brunel University London seeks an enthusiastic researcher to join the Park Royal Net Zero Food Supply Systems project, based at Brunel's Park Royal link in West London. You will study energy demand, greenhouse gas emissions and waste from refrigeration in food supply chains and propose decarbonisation strategies for Park Royal operations.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD or equivalent and possess strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, thermodynamic modelling, and experience with

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent qualification in engineering or technology.
• Very good knowledge of refrigeration technologies and systems; thermodynamic cycles, components and performance modelling.

Responsibilities

• Engage with project collaborators to understand and quantify energy demand, emissions and waste from refrigeration in Park Royal operations.
• Develop and propose solutions to decarbonise refrigeration and related processes.
• Collaborate with business and academic partners to drive energy efficiency improvements and knowledge transfer.
