Job description

Join to apply for the Research Associate in Health Economics role at The University of Manchester.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to research focusing on the economic analysis of primary care organisations' role in cancer diagnosis and detection within the NHS. Responsibilities include managing publicly available data, applying econometric and micro-economic techniques, and contributing to collaborative research and publication efforts. The role also involves building an open research repository of data and software code for research on NHS primary care organisations.

Qualifications:

  1. PhD in economics, health economics, or a related discipline with a strong quantitative focus.
  2. Understanding of micro-economics, healthcare economics, and advanced statistics or micro-econometrics.
  3. Experience with managing and analysing complex administrative or survey data.
  4. Proficiency in Stata and/or R.
  5. Knowledge of the English health and social care system and health research is desirable.
