Job summary

University of Manchester is seeking a Research Associate to build a client-facing MVP prototype for the GreenAVM project. You will work with the PI and Co-I to develop a working prototype that wraps the existing GreenAVM model into a client-facing web application.

The role involves front-end and back-end development, integration of live data feeds, SHAP visualisations, and cloud deployment, with thorough technical documentation and a structured handover for ongoing work.

Qualifications

Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience building web applications (full-stack or back-end development).
Proficiency in Python and familiarity with web frameworks (Flask, Django, FastAPI, Streamlit).
Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Experience with API integration and external data sources.

Responsibilities

Develop a web-based application wrapping the existing AutoGluon valuation model for client-facing demonstrations.
Integrate public data feeds (Land Registry, EPC Register) into the application for live valuations.
Implement SHAP-based explainability visualisations for interpretability by non-technical users.
Deploy the prototype to a cloud environment (AWS/Azure) for stakeholder demos.
Document architecture, codebase, data pipelines, and deployment configuration; provide handover for future development.
