Job Description:

Insurance Equity Research Analyst. The Analyst has a good knowledge of the Insurance sector. Modelling skills and strategic thinking are prerequisites. Requires commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are necessary to guide, influence, and convince others, including colleagues in other areas and external customers. The role has a significant impact through complex deliverables.

Responsibilities:

• The Vice President-level Analyst will primarily be responsible for a group of stocks in the specified sectors.
• Responsibilities include building financial models, writing research reports, conducting macroeconomic analysis on the global energy industry, communicating team ideas to institutional investors, conducting due diligence, and collaborating with Citi's product team to identify trends.
• Be a self-starter, accustomed to working in a team environment, with ambitions to advance in equity research.
• Conduct analysis and make investment recommendations.
• Interact with institutional clients, arrange company visits, and maintain management contacts for investing clients and due diligence.
• Attend industry conferences, track company events and earnings, develop financial models and valuation techniques, and establish expertise.
• Assess risks appropriately in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding Citi's reputation, and escalating issues transparently.

Qualifications:

• Deep knowledge of the European/UK insurance sector.
• Ability to distill research into an investable thesis and write reports/notes.
• Market ideas presentation to internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate direct corporate access for investors.
• Provide independent, regulated insights and maintain necessary licenses.

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree.
• CFA / ACA or FIA preferred.
