Job summary

Moore Green Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Repairs Supervisor for a housing provider in Burton. You will oversee delivery of a responsive repairs service across occupied and vacant properties, ensuring value for money and customer focus.

You will supervise work in progress, liaise with trades, subcontractors and customers, and manage the day-to-day performance of the workforce, including toolbox talks and on-site assessments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise work in progress and liaise with trades, subcontractors and customers for effective delivery of works.
• Manage all maintenance works to housing stock.
• Provide day-to-day supervision and performance management of the workforce, including on-site assessments and toolbox talks.
• Motivate and develop operatives, ensuring recruitment, training, appraisal and development in line with policies.
• Plan and schedule work to maximise efficiency and address imbalances.
• Mentor apprentices and trainees, supporting NVQ portfolios and progress meetings at college.

Job description

Repairs Supervisor for a housing provider in Burton, reporting to the Repairs Manager.

Duties will include;

• To be responsible for the delivery of an efficient and effective, customer focused value for money responsive repairs service in both occupied and vacant properties.

• To be responsible for site supervision of work in progress and liaison with all trade operatives, sub contractors and customers for the effective delivery of the works.

• To be responsible for all aspects of maintenance works to housing stock.

• To provide day to day supervision and performance management of the workforce including regular onsite assessments and toolbox talks in all matters relating to the service to ensure that the correct works are carried out to the correct standard.

• Manage, support and motivate the operatives in your team and ensure they are recruited, trained, managed, appraised and developed effectively in accordance with Trent & Doves policies and procedures.

• Ensure that operatives in the team are able to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness by planning and scheduling the work taking action to address any imbalance.

• To act as a mentor to apprentices and trainees providing support and assistance in completing NVQ portfolio s and attending progress meetings at the college as required.
