Job summary

A reputable housing association in Central London is seeking a Repairs Inspector to ensure responsive repairs meet quality standards. The role includes diagnosing works, conducting inspections, and managing contractor performance. Candidates should have relevant experience in repairs inspection and strong technical skills. This is a contract position for 3–6 months, offering a salary of £190 PAYE / £225 Umbrella LTD.

Qualifications

• Experience in repairs inspection, quality audits, and contractor management.
• Strong technical knowledge of repairs and ability to write reports/specifications.
• Good understanding of housing legislation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical diagnosis and prepare clear repair reports and specifications.
• Carry out pre, post, and quality inspections of repair works.
• Manage contractor performance and ensure compliance with Health & Safety obligations.
• Oversee repair variations and escalate concerns to contract management teams.
• Support stock condition surveys and contribute to monitoring and audit processes.
• Act as a resident champion, ensuring issues are resolved effectively.
