Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment in Nottingham is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee a large housing internal DLO responsible for responsive repairs. You will manage and control a team, ensure works are completed on time, within budget, and to standard, while maintaining full gas compliance throughout the contract area.

The role emphasises health and safety, client relationships, KPI delivery and collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in managing repair and maintenance across multiple disciplines.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and databases.
• Proven project management skills.
• Knowledge of statutory and regulatory obligations for servicing programmes.
• Experience in contractor management and contract adherence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control the team members assessing, specifying, and valuing the extent of work to be undertaken through a comprehensive inspection process of each property.
• Ensure all team members adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
• Manage client relationships effectively, ensuring KPIs are met.
• Provide relief cover for the Head of Delivery and assist in all aspects of their role.
• Encourage a strong customer-focused team and develop collaborative working with clients/customers.
• Attend local Board meetings and Working Groups as necessary.
• Ensure work complies with current statutory and non-statutory legislation and carry out health and safety audits.
• Submit Variation Orders and extensions of time and liaise through to final invoice to achieve clean billing and performance targets.
• Lead within the team to ensure internal project management standards are implemented.

This role involves managing and controlling employees on repairs and maintenance, adaptations, and minor capital work to ensure the provision of an effective and best value service. The successful candidate will ensure all works are completed on time, within budget, and to the agreed standard, while maintaining full gas compliance throughout the contract area.
