Job summary

Ealing Council is seeking a Rents and Service Charge Manager to oversee the rent and service charge function for its residential and commercial portfolio. This full-time role collaborates with finance and regeneration teams to set annual charges and ensure value for residents.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, drive compliance with housing standards and legislation, and maximise income within the HRA while delivering responsive, resident-focused services.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and set the annual rents and service charges for existing and new stock across the Council's residential and commercial portfolio.
• Provide operational management and performance oversight of the rent and service charge function.
• Ensure full compliance with the Regulator of Housing (RSH) Rent Standard and with the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 & 1987.
• Deliver a high-performing, customer-focused service and maintain strong financial control to maximise income within the HRA.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team, driving continuous improvement to deliver efficient, compliant, and resident-focused services.
