Job summary

Arnold Clark in Sheffield is seeking an enthusiastic Driver/Valeter to ensure all vehicles are presented in pristine condition and ready for customers. You’ll perform cleaning, polishing and basic maintenance, and coordinate with branches to collect or deliver cars.

The role suits someone energetic with excellent attention to detail who thrives in a team, can multi-task, and is happy to train to reach higher standards. Training via our Valet Academy is available and encouraged.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Clean sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Clean vehicles with a high-powered pressure washer and vacuum.
• Working with a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork.
• Drive to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and branches.
• Comply with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals.
• Maintain and report defects; follow PPE recommendations.
• Work to set timeframes and targets.
• Complete a daily record of work.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Driver/Valeter to join the Rental department in our Sheffield branch.

Hours

Full time: 45 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 and alternative weekends.

About The Role

As an Arnold Clark Driver/Valeter, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all our vehicles are presented in the best possible condition.

This position will be a perfect fit for someone who enjoys working in an active, physical role, has excellent attention to detail and is a fantastic team player.

Day-to-day duties

• Cleaning sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Cleaning vehicles with a high-powered pressure washer and vacuum.
• Working with a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork.
• Driving to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and branches.
• Complying with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals.
• Making sure that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and secure,, reporting any defects and complying with manufacturers’ instructions and PPE recommendations.
• Working to set timeframes and targets.
• Completing a daily record of work.

Essential Requirements

• Full UK driving licence
• High level of attention to detail
• Self-motivation with the ability to work as part of a team
• The ability to multi-task
• Willingness to participate in training programmes

Valet experience is preferred, but training can be provided for a candidate who demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm and the other required criteria. Arnold Clark also operates a Valet Academy which all new valet staff will attend.
