Job summary

Toyota Material Handling UK Limited is seeking a commercially minded Rental & Used Controller to join the Rental and Used team. The role focuses on delivering accurate financial and commercial reporting, with meaningful analysis to drive performance and improvements.

You will work with the Rental and Used Management Team to provide insight into financial performance, monitor key indicators and support effective commercial decision-making across the division, including budgets and bonus schemes.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly accounts, commentary and balance sheet information.
• Support internal and external audit requirements with accurate and timely information.
• Prepare financial forecasts and support profit planning.
• Develop, monitor and analyse key performance indicators.
• Provide commercial reporting, performance monitoring and financial advice to business leaders.
• Monitor divisional performance and identify inconsistencies or areas for improvement.
• Monitor, control and report on Rental and Used divisional spend.
• Support creation of performance targets and budgets, including calculations behind them.
• Create and maintain divisional bonus and commission schemes and their targets.
• Produce management information on financial performance of operating areas within Rental and Used.
• Support improvements to management information systems to increase performance and profitability.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting quality and efficiency.
• Support and develop the team through regular conversations, reviews and team meetings.

We’re looking for a commercially minded Rental & Used Controller to join our Rental and Used team.

This is a key role supporting the Rental and Used business, providing accurate financial and commercial reporting alongside meaningful analysis to help drive performance and continuous improvement.

Working closely with the Rental and Used Management Team, you’ll provide insight into financial performance, monitor key indicators and support effective commercial decision-making across the division.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Producing accurate monthly accounts, commentary and balance sheet information.
• Supporting internal and external audit requirements with accurate and timely information.
• Preparing financial forecasts and supporting profit planning.
• Developing, monitoring and analysing key performance indicators.
• Providing commercial reporting, performance monitoring and financial advice to business leaders.
• Monitoring divisional performance and identifying inconsistencies or areas for improvement.
• Monitoring, controlling and reporting on Rental and Used divisional spend.
• Supporting the creation of performance targets and budgets, including the information and calculations behind them.
• Creating and maintaining divisional bonus and commission schemes and their relevant targets.
• Producing management information covering the financial performance of operating areas within Rental and Used.
• Supporting improvements to management information systems to increase performance, efficiency and profitability.
• Driving continuous improvement in the quality and efficiency of reporting.
• Supporting and developing the team through regular conversations, reviews and team meetings.

You’ll be comfortable working with detailed financial information while maintaining a clear view of the bigger commercial picture. Accuracy, organisation and the ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders will be important in this role.
