Job summary

And Yorkshire Housing Limited is seeking a proactive Rent and Service Charge Officer on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Leeds. You will manage data to ensure rents and service charges are calculated accurately, prepare schedules, and upload charges to our rent system.

You’ll produce annual letters, support reporting, and maintain audit-ready records while collaborating with colleagues to improve processes and controls. Strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Great communication skills and confidence with IT, especially Excel and Word
• Accuracy, numeracy and a sharp eye for detail
• Competent Excel skills for managing and analysing data
• Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
• Experience handling complex numerical data and creating spreadsheets
• Organised, proactive and keen to learn

Responsibilities

• Work with data to ensure rents and service charges are calculated correctly, in line with policy and entered into our rent system
• Prepare annual service charge schedules for a range of schemes and calculate revised charges for review and sign-off by Head of Service
• Maintain and update our housing system to ensure new rents and service charges are uploaded accurately and on time
• Produce annual rent and service charge letters and support income and expenditure reporting
• Keep audit-ready records and assist with the fair rent register, appeals and monthly service charge journal
