Job summary

Sovereign Network Group in Newbury is seeking an Income Officer to join the Customer Accounts team. You will negotiate payment arrangements with customers, provide welfare benefit and money advice, and prepare applications for court.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of social housing, home ownership or the private rented sector
• Working knowledge of welfare benefits
• Experience in income management or debt recovery/collection is advantageous
• Self-starter with proactive approach and ability to work without close supervision
• Strong decision‑making skills with a diplomatic and confidential approach

Responsibilities

• Delivering a comprehensive rent & service charge collection service across the region
• Monitoring customer accounts for all tenures
• Managing end to end processes
• Engaging with external agencies including local authorities when needed
• Managing evictions
