Markel, a leading specialist insurer, is seeking an Underwriting Support Assistant in Leeds. The role is hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days at home) and focuses on supporting the renewal underwriting team across a diverse portfolio of commercial risks.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial insurance and underwriting support.
• Strong organisational and workload management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative support to the Renewal Connect underwriting team.
• Manage and process commercial insurance renewals accurately and efficiently.
• Enter and maintain information across underwriting systems (Acturis, Websure, IDEAL).
• Liaise with brokers by phone and email regarding renewal information.
• Follow up renewal requirements and supporting documentation.
