Job summary

Maersk Training in Newcastle region seeks a Technical Instructor to deliver and assess technical training for the renewable energy sector. You will work with delegates across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and operational disciplines, delivering practical and classroom-based programmes.

The role requires strong presentation skills, a technical background in energy or engineering, and the ability to travel to client sites and training centres across the UK.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Award in Education and Training or willingness to achieve.
• Technical background in renewable energy, engineering, maintenance, or operations.
• Experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or control systems.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess technical training in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
• Facilitate practical and theoretical learning sessions covering electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and operational systems.
• Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment for all learners.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and support throughout training programmes.
• Maintain training equipment, simulators, and workshop facilities in a safe and serviceable condition.
• Conduct routine inspections and safety checks of training equipment and facilities.
• Assist with the development and continuous improvement of training materials and programmes.
• Represent the company professionally and uphold company values at all times.
