JustOT is recruiting an experienced Band 6 Renal and Elderly Care Occupational Therapist to join a team in North London.

This locum role supports patients with complex needs, promotes independence and facilitates safe hospital discharges within an NHS setting.

The post requires HCPC registration, an OT degree, and NHS acute hospital experience, with opportunities to work within a dedicated MDT.

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy degree and current HCPC registration.
• Experience NHS acute hospital setting required.
• Renal and elderly care OT experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, rehabilitation and discharge planning skills.
• Ability to manage a complex caseload within an MDT.

Responsabilités

• Assess and treat patients across renal and elderly care caseloads.
• Complete comprehensive OT assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Support functional rehabilitation, mobility, transfers and ADLs.
• Recommend equipment and adaptations to maximise independence.
• Coordinate discharge planning and onward referrals with MDT.
• Prioritise caseload based on clinical need.

Locum Band 6 Renal & Elderly Care Occupational Therapist North London

JustOT is recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Renal and Elderly Care Occupational Therapist to join a team in North London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled OT with experience across renal and elderly care to support patients with complex needs, promote independence and facilitate safe and effective hospital discharges.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients across renal and elderly care caseloads.
• Complete comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop individualised treatment plans.
• Support patients with functional rehabilitation, mobility, transfers and activities of daily living.
• Recommend appropriate equipment and adaptations to maximise independence and safety.
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate discharge planning and onward referrals.
• Manage a varied caseload, prioritising patients according to clinical need.

Requirements

• Occupational Therapy degree or equivalent qualification.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Previous NHS experience within an acute hospital setting.
• Experience in renal and elderly care occupational therapy.
• Strong assessment, rehabilitation and discharge-planning skills.
• Ability to manage a complex caseload and work effectively within an MDT.
