JustOT is recruiting an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join an acute stroke team based in North West London. You will support patients through their hospital rehabilitation journey, helping them regain independence and achieve the best possible outcomes.

You will undertake comprehensive assessments, plan and deliver evidence-based, patient-centred interventions, and contribute to MDT meetings while facilitating safe discharge planning with community services.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required for practice.
• Experience assessing and treating acute stroke patients.
• Excellent communication and MDT collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Assess and manage a caseload of patients following an acute stroke.
• Complete comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify rehab needs.
• Plan and deliver patient-centred interventions to maximise independence.
• Assess transfers, mobility, personal care and equipment needs.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with colleagues.
• Support safe and timely discharge planning with community services.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and high standards of care.

Locum Band 6 Acute Stroke Occupational Therapist NW London

JustOT is recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join an acute stroke team based in North West London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated OT with acute stroke experience to support patients through their hospital rehabilitation journey, helping them regain independence and achieve the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and manage a caseload of patients following an acute stroke.
• Complete comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, identifying patients functional abilities and rehabilitation needs.
• Plan and deliver evidence-based, patient-centred interventions to maximise independence in daily activities.
• Assess transfers, mobility, personal care and equipment needs.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with medical, nursing and therapy colleagues.
• Support safe and timely discharge planning, including onward referrals and liaison with community services.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure high standards of patient care.

Requirements:

• HCPC registration.
• Previous NHS experience within an acute hospital setting.
• Proven experience working with acute stroke patients.
• Strong assessment, rehabilitation and discharge-planning skills.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team-working abilities.
